Luanda – Angolan journalist José Luís Mendonça has won the 2021 edition of the SADC Journalism Award, in the press category.
According to the organizers, in a statement that ANGOP had access this Tuesday, José Luís Mendonça, with a work that addresses the promotion of regional integration, from a purely cultural and civilizational perspective, obtained 79.5 percent of the general evaluation of the jury.
In addition to a diploma of merit, the journalist and writer is entitled to receive 2,500 dollars as a prize.
José Luís Mendonça was born in Gulungo Alto, northern province of Cuanza Norte, on November 24, 1955.
The SADC Journalism Award was established in 1996 to recognize and encourage the work of media professionals who compete to promote the objectives of regional integration and development in the region.
