Catumbela – The Benguela government is to conduct maintenance works to four important national road bridges in the province, ANGOP has learned.
The lack of maintenance coupled with heavy rains led one of the bridges to collapsed.As a result, road traffic between the provinces of Benguela/Huambo and Benguela/Huíla was stopped for more than 48 hours.
According to the provincial deputy-governor for Technical Services and Infrastructures, Adilson Gonçalves, maintenance work is planned for the structures of these bridges, as they present problems, such as those found on the Halo and Balombo rivers.
