Cabinda – Eleven families were left homeless on Tuesday, in the city of Cabinda, as a result of rain that fell over the region.
The heavy rain flooded more than a dozen homes and left 55 people homeless, according to a note from the Civil Protection and Fire Service in Cabinda.
According to the document handed over to ANGOP, the rain also caused the destruction of an Energy Transformation Station, an equal number of public lighting poles and felled two trees.
The neighborhoods of Povo Grande, Resistência and the Praia area, on the outskirts of the city of Cabinda, were the most affected, according to a note, which advises against construction in areas considered at risk and the disposal of solid waste in drainage ditches.
