Luanda - The Ambassador of Cabo Verde to Angola, Júlio Morais, considered, on Thursday, in Luanda, that the launch of the Cape Verdean television channel in Angola will strength the bonds of friendship, fraternity and complicity.
Speaking at the launch of the Television Africa (TVA) channel, on the satellite TV operator ZAP, he also highlighted that it will contribute to the sustainability of the unbreakable bond between the two peoples.
He highlighted that the channel will increase mutual knowledge between the two countries, as well as promote intercultural dialogue between the two peoples.
In turn, the founder of Televisão África (TVA), Saulo Montrond, informed that the channel will broadcast generalist content related to the two countries, with a focus on entertainment.
He explained that in this way they will allow the residents of Cape Verde in Angola and vice versa to be up to date with the main issues related to their countries, as well as the nationals themselves knowing the events in the neighboring country.
With two national employees remaining (journalist and cameraman), the channel that is now available is the result of an investment of one million dollars.
Without providing an exact recruitment number, he said that in the short and medium term they will be able to start some productions from Angola.
ZAP's channel and content management director, Eurípedes Varela, said that the partnership represents an important step towards better cultural crossing and dialogue between the two countries. SJ/ART/DOJ
