Luanda – The Angolan writer Armando Francisco presented and autographed this Thursday, in Luanda, the second edition of his literary work entitled "Discurso de um candidato".
The book, which has two hundred copies released, was produced by Mayamba Editora and prefaced by journalist Luís Fernandes, who revised it in collaboration with diplomat Estevão Alberto.
Like the first edition, Armando Francisco published a 180-page work "Two in one books", written in Portuguese and English (Discourse of a Candidate), each with 90 episodes.
In the introduction, the author brings stories about Angola’s national independence.
Speaking to the press, the writter said the work iis full of testimonies from people who were part of the process, such as Hermann Cohen, Luís Costa Ribas, General Higino Carneiro, ambassador António Monteiro, journalists Ismael Mateus and Maria Luísa Rogério.
He argued that he had received the statements in writing, in order to witness the UNITA campaign in 1992, thus marking a difference with the first edition.
For him, the book will help young people understand the Angolan history, as well as what the country's first multi-party elections were, despite its different format from the current ones. SJ/OHA/CF/jmc
