Luanda - The Minister of Health, Silvia Lutucuta, reaffirmed Tuesday that only safe and certified vaccines will be given to the citizens.
Silvia Lutucuta, who was speaking to the press on the sidelines of the meeting of the Multi-Sectorial Commission for the Prevention and Combat of Covid-19 with members of parliament, said that the National Assembly had set up a commission to monitor the adverse effects of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
In the view of the spokesperson for the Multisectoral Commission for the Prevention and Combat of Covid-19, the adverse effects registered so far are normal.
The health minister said that after Luanda province, the plan was to extend vaccination to Cabinda, Benguela, Huambo, Huíla and Bié.
So far, 44,000 citizens have been vaccinated, including health professionals, the elderly, teachers, members of the defence and security forces and government officials.
