Luanda – The Angolan health authorities announced 100 new Covid-19 infections, 64 recoveries and 2 deaths, in the last 24 hours.
According to the daily bulletin, on the new infections, 50 were registered in Luanda, 16 in Huambo, 14 in Cabinda, 5 in Cuando Cubango, 5 in Cuanza Sul, 4 in Benguela, 2 in Huíla and Uíge, 1 in Bengo and Zaire; with ages between 3 months and 65 years and including 61 male and 39 female.
During this period, 2 deaths were registered, involving two ladies, one aged 33, from Benguela Province, and the other 74, from Cuando Cubango.
The bulletin also informs that 64 people, between 1 and 81 years old, were recovered, 34 of them resident in Luanda, 11 in Cuando Cubango, 7 in Cabinda , 5 in Namibe, 4 in Huíla and 3 in Benguela.
The labs processed 3,405 samples by RT-PCR.
According to the epidemiological picture of the pandemic, Angola registered 64,226 positive cases, 53,180 recoveries, 1,705 deaths and 9,341 current diseased (from the current diseased there are 8 in critical conditions, 10 severe, 45 moderate, 38 mild and 9,240 asymptomatic).
There are 101 patients hospitalized, 94 in institutional quarantine and 4,037 in epidemiological surveillance.
