Saurimo - Sociedade Mineira de Catoca donated kits of various medicines to health units in Lunda-Sul, on Thursday with a view to overcoming the difficulties they are facing.
Medications include antimalarials, diarrheal medications, analgesics, syrups, vitamins, serums, anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, high blood pressure medications, injectables, consumables, among others.
On the occasion, the head of the health sector at Sociedade Mineira de Catoca, Guilherme Pereira, said that the drugs will be distributed to other units in the four municipalities that make up Lunda-Sul.
For his part, the director of the provincial health office, Vigas de Almeida, thanked the action, as the batch of drugs will help improve patient care, as there was a slight disruption in primary care.
On the sidelines of the delivery of medicines, the governor of Lunda-Sul, Daniel Neto, after witnessing the event, visited the General Hospital and gave precise instructions to technicians on the need to reinforce humanization in the health sector.
The province of Lunda Sul currently has 762 beds, distributed in different health units, which are provided by 638 nurses and 116 doctors. EM/JW/ART/CF/DOJ
