Cabinda - The governor of the northern province of Cabinda, Mara Quiosa, requested, on Wednesday, in the town of Bonde Grande, commune of Tando-Zinze, the involvement of traditional authorities and resident committees in prevention campaigns against cholera.
During an assessment trip to the town of Bonde Grande, she advised the inhabitants of that district to continue to comply with the recommendations of the health authorities, such as constantly washing hands and food, plus boiling water before drinking it.
In view of the prevailing situation in the DRC, Mara Quiosa recommended the reinforcement of surveillance measures at the border level, in order to prevent the spread of the disease.
