Luanda – Angolan President João Lourenço on Saturday expressed interest in deepening friendly relations and cooperation between Angola and Guinea-Bissau, with the prospect of a promising future for both peoples.
The interest of the Head of State was expressed in a congratulation note to the people and government of Guinea-Bissau for the celebration of the forty-ninth independence anniversary of this West African country.
In the message, sent to President Umaro Sissoco Embaló, the Angolan Head of State encouraged his Guinean counterpart to continue with the actions leading to the widening of the national democratic spectrum, so that all the living forces of this nation can feel involved in the national unity consolidation process.
As a result of several agreements, Angola and Guinea-Bissau cooperate in the economic, scientific, cultural, technical, security, public order and diplomatic fields.
