Luanda – The President of the republic, João Lourenço, returned to Luanda, after a two-day working visit to the province of Cuanza-Sul, where he inaugurated the new Comandante Rául Diaz Arguelles General Hospital.
Upon arrival, the statesman, who was accompanied by the first lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, received greetings from the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança Costa.
The new Sumbe General Hospital, named commander Rául Díaz Arguelles, also honors the delivery of Cuban forces to preserve Angola's independence, and reinforces the humanization of health services, with the hospital/school component, as it will promote medical specialization.
Still during his journey in the province of Cuanza-Sul, President João Lourenço met with local authorities, from whom he received explanations about the socioeconomic situation, as well as finding out about the progress of the integrated infrastructure development project from the city of Sumbe.
Likewise, he visited an agricultural, livestock and fishing exhibition, to assess the potential of the province of Cuanza-Sul, which was attended by the province's 12 municipalities.
