Luanda - The Speaker of Angolan National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, addressed on Monday, in Luanda, condolences to the Parliament of Cabo Verde for the physical death of deputy Edson Rosa, victim of sudden death.
According to a note of condolence, the parliamentary leader highlights that it was with 'surprise and deep' consternation that she learned of the physical passing of deputy Edson Valdir Monteiro Alves Rosa, from PAICV.
She considers him an illustrious son of Cabo Verde and a great defender of democracy and peace, whose future was seen as promising, taking into account his human and professional qualities.
'Charismatic and humble figure has always dedicated himself to social causes, having throughout his career dedicated to society coordinated the Program to Fight Poverty in Rural Environments on the Island of Maio', the document reads.
He recalls that the failure at the same time combined an enviable academic career, as in 2008 he completed his degree in History, followed by a Postgraduate Degree in History, Cultures and Powers, from the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal.
In conclusion, he offers condolences to the National Assembly of Cabo Verde, the bereaved family, friends and the brotherly people of Cabo Verde.
