Luanda - Ruling MPLA party appealed to the citizens Thursday for the mass participation in the electoral registration process, to ensure their participation in 2022 polls.
The appeal is expressed in the final communiqué of the 17th ordinary meeting of party’s Secretariat of the Political Bureau (BP), chaired by the party's general secretary, Paulo Pombolo.
The BP Secretariat members welcomed the start, this Thursday, of the Ex-Officio electoral registration process, which foresees to cover all voting age population.
The meeting which analysed internal issues assessed the organic process of the VIII ordinary congress of the MPLA in Luanda.
The participants focused on the holding of municipal conferences, scheduled for the 24th and 25th September this year.
The meeting also appreciated the memorandum on the evaluation of the MPLA's electoral performance in the provinces of Luanda and Lunda Sul, the proposal of solutions for the upcoming political and electoral challenges.
It also analysed the document on the status of the management process and monitoring the replacements and renewal of electoral commissioners appointed by the party.
The members of the MPLA's executive body analysed other matters relating to the party's VIII ordinary congress, namely the agenda and the general work programme, the internal regulations and the chairmanship of the commissions, as well as the summary minutes of the meeting on evaluation sanitary and biosafety conditions for the conclave.
The meeting also discussed matters on the holding of ordinary provincial conferences, as well as other internal issues, in addition to the political, economic and social situation in the country.
