Luanda - Ministry of Territory Administration (MAT) said that it is creating logistic conditions for ex-officio electoral registration to ensure the kick off of the process abroad.
This was announced by the minister of Territory Administration, Marcy Lopes, who said that a delegation of the sector is due to travel abroad soon to learn of the conditions related to the process.
Speaking to the press at the end of a meeting with the National Electoral Commission (CNE), the minister said that the preparation for conditions of the electoral registration of citizens overseas includes the training of staff from diplomatic and consular missions who will work on the process, running from January to March 2022.
"The staff training will begin in November this year, in which the participants will attend in person the training in Portugal and in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and via zoom in other countries," the minister said.
In turn, the president of CNE, Manuel Pereira da Silva, said his institution, in the capacity as supervisor of the process, will provide all the necessary support to ensure the transparency of the process.
There are currently some 450,000 Angolans residing abroad, with stress to Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Namibia, Portugal, United States and Brazil.
