Luanda - Angolan head of State João Lourenço and his Brazilian counterpart Luís Inácio Lula da Silva held a telephone talk Wednesday, following the Brasília meeting.
The dialogue aimed at implementing what has been agreed on, including holding the Angola-Brazil Joint Commission, according to the information posted on official page of the Angolan Presidency Facebook social network.
In the telephone conversation, the two Heads of State reiterated their commitment to further develop economic relations between the two countries.
According to the publication, João Lourenço and Lula da Silva also addressed regional issues, under which, the President of Brazil reaffirmed his country's commitment to contribute to the economic development of the African continent.
Angola and Brazil cooperate in the sectors of agriculture, energy, immigration, animal/plant health, education, health, technical cooperation and diplomatic consultations.
Cooperation also covers the fields of science, technology, culture, fisheries, petroleum, environment, communication, trade and transport.
Brazil was the first country in the world to recognise Angola's independence, proclaimed on November 11, 1975.
