Luanda - The deputy governor of Luanda province for Technical Area and Infrastructures, Cristino Ndeitunga, reassured that the State continues working to consolidate the dignity and honour of the Former Combatants who gave all their efforts for the achievement of sovereignty.
The deputy governor made these statements to the press today, Saturday, after the laying of a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier at the Santa Ana cemetery.
Cristino Ndeitunga said it was important to pass on the testimony and the lessons learnt from this process, with the good examples serving as reference and the bad ones so that they don't happen again.
He appealed the former combatants to write their memories of this process, so that the new generation knows the importance of the national liberation struggle.
The Secretary General of the Federation of Former Combatants and Homeland Veterans, Brigadier Vicente Junior, said that despite the country's financial situation, there is joint work between the Government and the federation, in order to find solutions to improve the economic and social situation of its members.
