Dundo - The governor of Lunda-Norte province, Filomena Miza, on Monday, reinforced the call for the need to preserve the great achievements of the Angolan people, with emphasis on sovereignty, peace, reconciliation and national unity.
She was speaking during the lecture on National Independence, highlighting that defending the great achievements of the Angolan people must be a constant obligation for all citizens, regardless of religious or public convictions.
To her, today's generation must continue to honor the legacy of the independence fighters, through actions that enhance patriotism, citizenship, among other values.
She appealed to young people to stop acts that promote such actions and most worryingly, the vandalization of public property, causing enormous damage to the State.
On the other hand, Filomena Miza highlighted that as a result of national independence and peace, the province of Lunda-Norte recorded growth, with the construction of the Mussungue centrality, rehabilitation of the main roads, expansion of the health and school network.
Among the gains, she highlighted the rehabilitation and expansion of the Luachimo hydroelectric dam, which allowed the increase in its production capacity from 8 to 34 megawatts. HD/MRA/DOJ
