Luanda - The Youth Literature Brigade of Angola (BJLA) launched on Friday, at the Angolan Writers Union (UEA), in Luanda, the first edition of the literary workshop with the Brazilian poet and writer Kaio Carmona.
The workshop aims to provide young writers with scientific and philosophical tools and empower the initiation to literary criticism and study.
According to the BJLA’S assistant secretary, Francisco Paulo, the institution has the noble mission of taking the literature all over the country, through poetry, music in trova, workshops, gatherings and cultural exchange.
Speaking to ANGOP, the Brazilian writer and professor Kaio Carmona said he believes that poetry is always an opportunity for new beginnings.
According to the writer, the Brazilian literary movement is very strong both in quantity and quality and several styles coexist with a social poetry, lyric and experimentation, which is related to plastic arts, music, photography and cinema.
Kaio Carmona is from Minas Gerais (Brazil), writer, poet, and professor at Angola 's public Agostinho Neto University.
He is post-doctorate in Poetics of Modernity and PhD in Literary Studies.
He is the author of the works Lyric of Times, released in 2006, Compendiums of Love, in 2013, For When (2017) and The Common House, released in 2020.
