Uíge – The producer and kuduro music singer Muluba António “Da Pastilha” was elected, this Sunday, to the position of provincial secretary of the Angolan Association of Kudurists in Uíge, with 31 votes in favor and two null votes.
In 2nd place, music and producer Cristiano Raul “Scool” was elected, who will serve as vice-president of the association in the region.
After the election, those responsible for the association expressed commitment to working with zeal and dedication, for the good of the class, as well as investing in the dissemination of the northern Uige Province's culture.
Present at the meeting, the president of the Association of Kudurists of Angola, Albino Miguel José, encouraged artists to produce educational music, exercising their profession responsibly, thinking about the development of the country and Angolans.
On the other hand, he informed that the meeting aims to listen to the class and gather information from them about their social life, types of lyrics, music they produce and what they have done for the good of the Kuduro style, as well as compliance with rights and artist's duties.
Created in 1992, the Association of Kuduristas of Angola resumed its activities in 2002, focusing on the promotion and recognition of Kuduro.
