Lubango - The cultural attaché of the Angolan embassy to China, Marcelina Gomes, defended last Saturday in Lubango the need for construction of a cultural palace in southern Huíla province for better preservation of the history, the material and immaterial heritage.
Speaking at a lecturer on the motto "Carnival and tourism as element of the culture" organized by the local Board of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports, Marcelina Gomes considered that the installation of a cultural infrastructure can boost cultural tourism in Huíla, by bringing together a library, a photographic exhibition room and an incubator.
In her opinion, it is necessary to create an open space that allows the profitability of cultural development program, through traditional and folkloric dances, as well as an Angolan identity book of songs.
Marcelina Gomes emphasized that carnival due to be a national cultural manifestation and expresses the interests in the economic development in Angola should deserve more attention with the creation of a perpetuate file.
The event marked the closing of the program of the carnival that started on 16 with seminars and photographic exhibition.
