Moçâmedes - The municipality of Moçâmedes, Namibe province, gained today, Wednesday, two new schools with seven classrooms each, to house over a thousand primary school pupils.
The new school is in Bentiaba commune (132 kilometres north of Moçâmedes), costing an estimated AKZ 133 million and another in the Forte Santa-Rita neighbourhood, on the outskirts of the city, valued at AKZ 122 million.
The cutting of the inaugural ribbon was done by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Marci Lopes, in the company of the provincial governor, Archer Mangueira.
The two undertakings are fully equipped and were built within the scope of the Integrated Intervention Plan for Municipalities (PIIM).
On the occasion, the Secretary of State for Secondary Education, Gildo Matias José, valued the fact that the social equipment bring more convenience to students and teachers.
