Saurimo – The deputy governor for the Political, Social and Economic sector, of Lunda-Sul, Mendes Gaspar, recommended, Thursday, to public managers to strive for transparent and rigorous management of public revenues.

The government official, who was speaking at the opening of the seminar on “The rules for implementing the 2024 General State Budget (OGE), highlighted that public managers must be aligned on the issue of public finance reform and best practices for social and economic stability and politics of Angolans.

The seminar aims to promote interaction with users of the Integrated Financial Management System (SIGF) and Integrated State Asset Management System (SIGPE).

The vice-governor asked managers for greater commitment, dedication and application to the knowledge that will be transmitted, in order to improve management procedures and equip themselves with current techniques and tools in the execution of the State's public revenues and expenses, to prevent possible constraints with justice bodies.

Promoted by the provincial Finance Delegation, the seminar also aims to clarify the new rules that guide the collection of all State revenues, customs, inventory of public assets, emoluments, among others, which must be directed to the Single Treasury Account (CUT).

The seminar was attended by public managers, judicial magistrates and public prosecutors from the four municipalities of the province, namely Cacolo, Dala, Muconda and Saurimo.

Participants addressed topics related to the rules for implementing the 2024 OGE, execution of the budget in the Integrated Financial Management System (SIGF), Integrated State Asset Management System

(SIGPE) and accountability for special allocated resources and the ordinary share of the treasure.QB/JW/ASS/TED/DOJ
