Luanda - The Made in Angola Service intends to award, next year, 1000 stamps of its to various local products, the minister of Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano João, said Wednesday.

This was announced during a press conference, at the end of a visit to the "Made in Angola Expo", which opened today in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), in Viana.

The minister added that the government continues to strongly bet on  national producers to continue to elevate their production levels to enable the country to reach high sufficiency and better quality of the products made.

Mário João informed that up to now 200 products have already received the stamps and that his department will continue to focus on the increase next year, underlining that the products need 35% of national material to be attributed the stamp.

The minister underlined the importance of the certificates for products made in Angola, an important element for the integration in the region's free trade zone, a more complex process that requires greater commitment from the country.

The official added that in the last six months the government financed 1500 companies, and hopes to increase this number in 2023, after  40 billion kwanzas for this purpose is made available.

Over 150 exhibitors from the country’s 18 provinces are participating The first edition of Made in Angola Expo.
