Lisbon - The pavilion of the Angola Tourism Development Institute (Infotour), set up for another edition of the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL), was visited Wednesday in the city of Lisbon, Portugal, by the Portuguese Head of State, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

Accompanied by Angola's ambassador to Portugal, Maria de Jesus Ferreira, President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa received information about tourism in Angola from Infotour's director-general, Afonso Vita, who took the opportunity to taste some of the delicacies on offer to visitors.

With 450 exhibitors and 85 international destinations present, the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL) kicked off today with the expectation of surpassing last year's 63,000 visitors.

During this event, which closes on Sunday and is mainly aimed at promoting Portuguese tourism, foreign participants, such as Angola, will have the opportunity to hold and take part in various business meetings to promote their countries and companies linked to the tourism sector.

Seven stages, awards galas, conferences on a variety of topics, from innovation to sustainability, and promotional campaigns for travel packages created exclusively for BTL, make up the event, where 78% of visitors end up doing business.

This year, the organizers expect to surpass the 63,000 visitors of last year's edition, with a 15% increase in exhibitors in the in the implantation area
