Luanda - The Programme for Credit Support (PAC) has since April of this year approved 647 projects valued at 25 billion kwanzas, as part of the Programme for Production Support, Export Diversification and Import Substitution (Prodesi).
Of the total number of projects approved, 123 had disbursements of 5 billion kwanzas, according to figures provided Tuesday by the Ministry for the Economy and Planning (MEP).
This public funding instrument, PAC, covered the provinces of Luanda with 172, followed by Benguela with 59, Uíge with 57, Huíla with 41, Bié with 39 and 33 for Bengo.
According to figures provided by the national director for the Economy, Competitiveness and Innovation of the MEP, Joffrana Xavier, the beneficiaries of the projects are the provinces of Luanda, Bengo, Benguela, Huíla, Namibe and Bié.
Speaking at the usual briefing of the Ministry for the Economy and Planning, Xavier said that the sectors of commerce and distribution operators led with 37 projects disbursed, followed by the agriculture sector with 35 projects, fishing with 14, manufacturing with 12, livestock with 12, solid waste with eight and tourism with five initiatives.
The Programme to Support Production, Export Diversification and Import Substitution (PRODESI) has funded a total of 1,715 projects.
By funding line, she said that the Economic Relief funding line had funded 528 projects, Aviso 10/22 of the BNA had supported 367 projects, PAC with 647 and FADA with 142 projects.
