Malanje - The state owes over nine billion kwanzas to private companies in Malanje province, resulting from the provision of goods and services, during the period from 2013 to 2017.
The information was given to the press in Malanje today (Tuesday) by the deputy coordinator of the Technical Group for Support to State Creditors (GTACE) of the Ministry of Finance, Fausto João, at the end of a meeting with local businesspeople who are creditors of the State.
According to the official, the amount corresponds to 285 registered processes, whose debts are being certified by the Ministry of Finance for later settlement.
He explained that for the payment, the process goes through an investigation and certification of the debts, based on the contracts, invoices and other documents that make them up.
Without giving any figures, he said that about 15 companies had already been paid their debts by the State, at a time when the remaining 285 credit processes at the Malanje level were being analysed.
Fausto João said, on the other hand, that many debts had not yet been repaid because the processes lacked analysis, due to the lack of certification documents, particularly contracts and invoices for goods and services provided.
