INAPEM reaffirms its commitment on supporting business community

Huambo - The director of the National Institute for Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM) in Huambo, Victória Carlos, reaffirmed, on Tuesday, the institution's commitment to continuing to focus on implementing policies to support the business community.

Speaking to the press, the official assured that her mission is to support the business class, for the emergence of new micro, small and medium-sized companies in the Huambo province's 11 municipalities, to promote self-employment and growth of the national economy.

She informed that the institution trained, in 2023, a total of 250 promoters in the area of food processing, of which 50 were women.

She said that in the field of training, development and business promotion, 132 young people were trained in subjects linked to entrepreneurship and literacy, in addition to 31 heads of cooperatives on agricultural management, acquisition of inputs, marketing and commercialization, an activity developed by INAPEM and partners.

Victória Carlos said that, in 2023, the institution certified 233 companies, of which 223 micro, 6 small and 1 medium, in an initiative that is contributing to the promotion of self-employment.

Currently, the National Institute for Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM) in Huambo has certified 2,400 companies, of which 1,117 are micro, 84 small and 46 medium-sized, qualified to benefit from tax exemption, which can allow the reduction of costs and maximizing your results, within Law 30/19.

She recalled that the Made in Angola Service (SFA) is another instrument of the Executive, with a view to complementing programs to support national production, with the objectives of promoting and increasing national production.

The highlight of the Service Made in Angola is the reformulation of the seal, whose image now features a QR code, as a differentiating and representative element of its technological innovation, which will provide more security, greater value and exposure of the offer of goods and services in the domestic and foreign markets.

Since its creation, in 2012, INAPEM has been adopting instruments that aim to create incentives, financing modalities and other facilities that ensure business initiative and promote small and medium-sized companies, encourage the creation of private mutual guarantees, encourage modalities of venture capital financing and social financing.

INAPEM is a public service supervised by the Ministry of Economy, responsible for monitoring, certifying and classifying micro, small and medium-sized companies. JSV/ALH/CF/DOJ
