Menongue - Managers and representatives of 13 budgetary units of the Local Administration in the province of Cuando Cubango are being trained on the rules for implementing the General State Budget (OGE) 2024, aiming to ensure effectiveness in its execution.
This is the execution of the Cuando-Cubango's OGE, which will merit discussion by municipal administrators, provincial directors and secretaries of municipal administrations.
At the opening of the meeting, which takes place in the local government amphitheater, the vice-governor for the political, social and economic sectors, Helena Chimena, recognized that the execution of the OGE will contribute to the adequate and necessary improvement of the quality of public expenditure for all levels.
Helena Chimena highlights that the objective is to improve expenditure performance in different sectors, improve the business environment and ensure the maintenance of public services.
"Public managers and other economic agents are called upon to be creative in adopting strategies to alleviate the impact of the economic crisis, with structuring reforms in their way of acting", she argued.
The vice-governor aims, after training, public managers equipped with legal and technical information for a more efficient and transparent execution of the General State Budget, with a vision of a sense of mission, cohesion, rigor and discipline.
For Helena Chimena, the aspects mentioned above are decisive for the proper fulfillment of the role of managers and for them to dedicate themselves to the public cause, driven by the highest national interest, specifically the patriotic one.
Managers, including directors of the Study, Planning and Statistics offices, directors and managers of schools and hospital units, are also being trained in matters such as rules for implementing the OGE and execution of public investment projects.
The topics of which the seminar ends this afternoon also include public procurement, asset execution and accountability.
