Lubango – The turnover of the 4th edition of the Fair of Municipalities and Cities of Angola (FMCA), which ended Sunday in the city of Lubango, Huíla Province, raised 1 billion kwanzas.
According to the CEO of the Eventos Arena Group, Bruno Albernaz, the amount resulted from trade exchanges between the 528 public and private companies which exhibited their different agricultural products, as well as goods and services.
He highlighted that corn, reindeer and sweet potatoes, cassava, massango, sorghum, strawberries, oranges, apples, are the main products on display in the 164 municipalities of the country.
Bruno Albernaz said that during the four days, more than 500 tons of different products were moved by municipalities and exhibiting companies, considering that this year the exhibitors of each province were better represented because, in addition to exhibiting their products and plans to attract investments, they brought products that served as an opportunity to do business, surpassing previous editions.
He recalled that each exhibitor´s limit was of nine square meters that they sold by 250,000 kwanzas, noting that the companies could also estabilish inter-municipal trade relations with large sellers as well as with the warehouses and for now on they will be providing products according to contracts they signed.
“In addition to the cultural sector that is also a champion for the manifestation and diversity that the country has from Cabinda to Cunene, it propiciates a great variety of culture that makes us a special and different people”, he said.
To the entrepreneur, the IV Edition of the FMCA, promoted by the Ministry of Territorial Administration, has a historic character, despite representing, in addition to the exhibition stage, the economic and cultural potential of the municipalities.
He considers it a space for reflection on the main challenges of the country and an opportunity to meet the best solutions to overcome it with focus on social and economic development of the country.
