Luanda – Last Wednesday, a South African group of businesspersons this week expressed interest in investing in health infrastructure and the production of expendable materials in Angola.

The investors, who were received in audience by the Angolan ambassador to South Africa, Filomena Delgado, are linked to the Anzologix Group, and have expressed an interest in establishing public-private partnerships for the construction of hospitals and networks of clinics across the country.

Mdu Msomi, Executive Head (CEO) of Anzologix, announced that US $1.2 billion is available to support the project, in partnership with the Angolan authorities.

In addition to the networks of clinics, the project will be extended to the industries of production of medicines and several expendable hospital materials.

The aim is to improve the technical conditions of medical assistance, with hospital infrastructures of national, provincial and municipal dimensions.

Ambassador Filomena Delgado explained to South African investors the current business environment in Angola, the legislation, tax incentives and the return of profits under the Private Investment Law.
