Cabinda - The deputy governor of Cabinda for the Economic sector, Macário Lembe, considered the Executive's investment in the productive sector as a strategy and more suitable for combating hunger and poverty.

The official, who spoke on Tuesday, during the seminar to publicize credit packages, promoted by the Agrarian Development Support Fund “FADA”, said he is committed to agriculture, livestock, industry and other economic segments, which generate income for families and expand opportunities to obtain local products on the market.

For the economist, the productive sector, in addition to constituting the right path for the diversification of the economy, also creates opportunities to export domestic production and thus create foreign exchange revenue to reinforce the national treasury in foreign exchange.

“I am sure that the benefits of FADA financing will empower rural women and increase the productivity of the most vulnerable communities in the province of Cabinda”, he highlighted.

In his view, with this financing, local producers will have better conditions to produce, transform, evacuate products, from the field to marketing areas and for consumption by the population.

Two thousand peasant families in Cabinda will benefit in the near future from funding from the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA).

The fund will finance individual farmers and cooperatives with 5 and 25 million kwanzas, respectively, for coffee and cocoa production.JFC/AC/DOJ
