Angola - The municipality of Baía Farta, in Angola's Benguela province, is hosting, from 27 to 28 of this month, a forum on the economic potential of regional development, ANGOP learned Wednesday.
Promoted by the municipal administration in partnership with the Katyavala Buila University, the event aims to show the region's strengths that can contribute to the process of economic growth, such as fishing, salt industry, hotels, agriculture and livestock and tourism.
According to the municipal administrator of Baía Farta, José Francisco Ferreira, this initiative, the first of its kind in the district, aims to attract the largest number of investors, in order to accelerate economic growth and local development.
Topics such as: "The economic potential and opportunities of Baía Farta", "Historical and urban evolution of the municipality", "Contribution of agro-livestock and fishing activities in the diversification of national economy", "Economic growth of Baía Farta", among others, will be under analysis at the forum.
Over 200 participants from various parts of the country are already registered to participate in the event.
