AIPEX announces USD 11 bln from private investment

Luanda – At least 11 billion dollars is the amount raised by the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX) since 2018, the institution CEO has said.

 

Lello Francisco said Tuesday that the amount resulted from 581 investment projects submitted to the institution.

 

The manager noted that 169 of the 581 investment projects submitted to AIPEX have already been implemented, which resulted in generation of  12,000 jobs.

 

The institution also announced the creation of 54,000 others (job) after the implementation of all the projects.

 

Speaking at the 9th edition of the CaféCIPRA biweekly rounds of debates, the CEO added that of the implemented projects 12% are from the food processing industry, in which most of the investors moved from service providers to manufacturers.

 

He said that there are approximately 400 projects in the implementation phase, which shows a two percent growth rate of projects being implemented.

 

“AIPEX provides all assistance to companies, a fact that reduces investors´ risks in the domestic market, he said, calling on private entrepreneurs to seek the institution for the necessary assistance.

 

The 9th edition of CaféCIPRA discussed the topic “Re-launch the Industry and Promote Entrepreneurship”.

 

Facilitators include ministers of Industry and Trade Victor Fernandes and of Economy and Planning Mário Caetano João.

 

APEX´s CEO Lello João Francisco and the Executive Administrator of the Special Economic Zone, Adriano Celso Borja, were also among the speakers.
