Ondjiva - Technicians from municipal administrations and contractors from the province of Cunene began, today, a training seminar on matters linked to the transfer of powers for issuing registration titles and construction permits.
Lasting two days, the training aims to provide participants with knowledge regarding licensing procedures for the activities of companies in the public works sector.
Speaking at the opening, responsible for qualification and licensing at the Construction and Public Works Regulatory Institute (Irccop), Manuela Cristóvão, said the aim, with the seminar, is to facilitate service and make administrative processes faster regarding projects, construction and supervision of works.
“With this initiative, administrations will have financial capacity, because all collections will no longer be shared in the Single Treasury Account (CUT). It will be 100 percent of the administrations”, he stressed, adding that of the 87 companies registered in Cunene, only 15% are up to date.
She appealed to other companies to regularize the situation or report the state of inoperability to the regulatory institute to be dismissed.
For his part, the director of Cunene's infrastructure office, Édio José, highlighted the importance of these services, as they should contribute to increasing the number of legal operators committed to quality construction in the province. PEM/LHE/VC/CF/DOJ
