Luanda - The National Chess Team, male and female categories, entered this Tuesday the third week of preparation, for the Olympics taking places from 28 July to 10 August, in Chennai, India.

The chess players are guided, via online, by the Grandmaster (GM) Ahkash Thakur, and the Fide Master (MF) Anurag Mhamal, both Indians.

The national team is also trained by the Angolan international master, Catarino Domingos, in sessions that take place at the headquarters of the Angolan Chess Federation (FAX), in Luanda.

The Angolans will compete with ten athletes, aiming to get points that guarantee the country's first Grand Master title.

The IM David Silva, with Elo (play strength) of 2379, and Esperança Caxita, with 1843, are in this condition.
