Luanda - Petro de Luanda will face FC Jovens de Hoje do Moxico this Tuesday, in Moxico Province, for the opening game of the round of 16 of the Angolan League Football Cup.
In the journey to the eastern region of the country, Petro de Luanda, who are the current national champions and holders of the trophy of the second largest competition in the country, present themselves as favourites, since the opponents are a second division team.
In the previous edition’s final, last year, at the Tundavala Stadium in Lubango City, southern Huila Province, Petro de Luanda beat Desportivo da Huíla, 2-1.
The first Angola Cup, held in 1982, was won by 1º de Maio de Benguela.
Besides Petro de Luanda and FC Jovens de Hoje do Moxico, the other matches of this phase will only take place on Wednesday (12th).
