Federation boss: Angola has everything to win

Lubango – The president of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), Artur Almeida e Silva, stated this Tuesday, in Lubango city, Huíla Province, that the National Team have everything to win the game with Madagascar on Thursday, in the Tundavala Stadium, counting to the last round of the qualification phase for CAN'2023, in Côte d'Ivoire, which takes place next year.

Speaking to the press, upon arrival in Lubango, Artur Almeida e Silva said that to fulfill this aim, in the days leading up, the group needs the greatest possible serenity, for better psycho-emotional stability and control of anxiety levels.

He said he believes that with this atmosphere and the sporting enthusiasm prevailing within the group, the team will certainly play a match that will dignify the Angolan people, in general, and the population of Huíla, in particular.

He thanked governor Nuno Mahapi for his availability, who has given all logistical support to the FAF and in particular the Angolan national team.

The National squad arrived in Lubango this morning with an incomplete group, with Zito Luvumbu, Depú, Rui Modesto and Milson still being awaited today, although the arrival of Ivan Cavalero has been ruled out, according to a FAF source.
