Luanda – Angola men and women national rowing team leave Wednesday for Tunis (Tunisia) to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifying to take place on October 23 to 26.
The national team is made up of André Matias, Conceição Ngola, in individual boats, and the duo Ricardo Martins/Irineu Meno, who will fight for a place among 12 spots reserved for Africa being 5 men and 5 women in addition to the two pairs (one for each class).
Angola participated for the first time in the Olympic Games in 2016, in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), with André Matias and Jean-Luc Rasamoelina.
In addition to the qualifying tournament, the country will participate in the African rowing Championship, with Conceição Ngola, André Matias and the duo, Ricardo Martins/Irineu Meno.
