Huambo - Xavier Samacau team won Monday the unified provincial Judo championship in both individual and team’s categories after reaching a total of nine gold medals, two silver and three bronze medals.
The TK Huambo were runners up with eight gold medals, six silver and the same number of bronzes.
The provincial judo championship was contested in both junior and senior categories with participation of ten teams in a total of 145 athletes in the categories from 40kg to 100kg and over 100 kilograms, with the aim to select representatives of the Huambo province to take part in the national championships.
The TK team had won the last edition of the provincial Judo championship, contested only in the senior category, winning seven gold, five silver and three bronze medals.
