Luanda - Interclube's senior men's basketball team beat 1º de Agosto on Saturday, 84-81, and is in the final of the Angola Cup, scheduled for next Saturday, in Benguela.
The first quarter of the game, played at the 28 de Fevereiro pavilion, in Luanda, ended in favor of the “1º de Agosto”, by 26 -24.
In search of solutions for the triumph, Adingono's 1º de Agosto finished with a lead at half-time, 46 -45, after benefiting from a long-distance throw two seconds from the end.
The third period was a constant struggle and successive changes in the score, ending equal at 62 points.
The last quarter was quite balanced, the “military” even dominated the game of tables, but still ended up defeated, by 84-81.
Elcane Paca from 1º de Agosto, with 25 points, was the best scorer of the challenge.
In the first “leg”, Thursday, at the Victorino Cunha pavilion, 1º de Agosto lost by 64 -85, and would only reach the final if they won by more than 22 points, which did not happen.
In the other semi-final, played in the city of Lobito, “Casa do Pessoal” beat Petro de Luanda, holder of the title, 77-74.
