Luanda – The second qualifying stage of the National Golf Championship called “The Golf Cup Unitel BFA”, kicks off on Saturday (13), at the Mangais Ecoresort, in Luanda.
In addition to this stage, the championship also has other qualifying stages scheduled for September 21st, October 19th, culminating with the final to be played between November 12th and 17th.
According to a note to which ANGOP had access, this Thursday, in Luanda, the event is structured into four qualifying stages, in which 36 teams and 72 players participate.
Over the years, the competition has visited different golf destinations from Suncity (South Africa) to Óbidos (Portugal) demonstrating its international character and ability to attract the best teams and players.
To remind that the winners of the first phase were Luís Marques and Christophe Kusiolek (Ponticelli Angoil), in 1st place, with 47 points.
In 2nd position, Kim Young Cheol and António Marçal (Koran), with 44 points, while Mário Pires and Nuno Vieira (Anglobal), finished in third place, also with the same score (44).
The competition is in its 11th consecutive edition, including the competition during the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020, with rigorous testing measures.
The Koran team, represented by players Kim Young Cheol and Baek Chonggu, is the current holder of the title, won in 2023.
