Petro de Luanda lose to Sagrada in 20th round of Girabola

Luanda - Petro de Luanda were beaten 0-1 on Saturday in Luanda Province by Sagrada Esperança, from Lunda Norte, in the 20th round of the first division National Football Championship, also known as Girabola2023/24, played at the 11 November Stadium.

With a solitary goal from Dabanda (49'), Petro de Luanda suffered their first defeat in the competition, where they had been unbeaten since the start of the competition. 

With this result, Sagrada Esperança climbed to second place with 40 points, while Petro de Luanda are third with 37.     

Interclube (10th/20th) beat Santa Rita de Cássia do Uige (12th/17th) 2-0 at the 22 de Junho Stadium in Luanda, with goals from Além (53') and Pedro (58'), while Kabuscorp do Palanca drew 0-0 with Wiliete of Benguela at the Coqueiros Stadium in Luanda.

In the other match, Recreativo do Libolo (14th/13th) also drew goalless with São Salvador do Kongo from Zaire province (10th/20th) in Calulo, Cuanza Sul.   

To close the the round, on Sunday Sporting de Cabinda (14th/12th) play 1º de Agosto (5th/26th) at Tafe stadium at 3 pm and Desportivo da Huíla (7th/23rd) will face Académica do Lobito (9th/21st) at Tundavala stadium at 3 pm.

Bravos do Maquis do Moxico, in 8th place with 22 points, will rest in accordance with the official schedule.
