Luanda - Angolan referee Hélder Martins has been appointed for the match between Tunisia and Tanzania to take place on Friday for the third round of the group - J, qualifying for the 2022 African Nations Cup to be held in Cameroon.
The appointment of the Angolan referee by the African Football Confederation (CAF) confirms the rise of the national referees in recent years.
The referee will be assisted by the Angolans Evanildo Lopes and Gerson Emiliano dos Santos (assistant referees) and João Amado Goma (fourth referee).
The last time Helder Martins was in an event of this kind was in 2019, in the African Nations Cup held in Egypt.
