Angolan footballer Ary Papel tops scoring list in Libya

Luanda - Angolan striker Ary Papel, playing for Libya's Al Akhdar, leads the list of top scorers in the Arab country's top league with 15 goals, after the 14th round, when there are four rounds left to end the championship.

Groomed in 1º de Agosto (Angolan club) football school, Ary Papel is followed by Ahmed Krawaa from Al-Ahly in Tripoli (9), while in third place is Yahia Al Zliteni of Al Madina (5).

If he wins the trophy, it will be for the second time, having won it in the 2021/2022 season with 11 goals.

In the last round (14th), the Angolan star scored two goals in a match in which his team beat Al-Anwar 3-0.

His team is in second place in the Libyan league with 27 points, in a competition led by Al-Nasr with 34 points.
