Luanda - The second leg of the Super Cup 2021 between Petro de Luanda and Sagrada Esperança, initially scheduled for Wednesday (17), has been canceled by the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), definitively awarding the title of champions of the event to the Lunda Norte province-based club (Sagrada).

The decision emerged from a meeting between the FAF and representatives of the two teams.

It was decided the match of the competition exceptionally in a single "match", due to the state of public calamity owed to the Covid-19 and the approaching of the Afro - cups, where both teams will participate.

Petro lost the first leg, 3-4 on penalties, after a zero goal tie during  regulation time, on September 26, 2021, at Ombaka National Stadium, coastal Benguela Province.

However, some time later, the management of Petro de Luanda requested the holding of the second match as laid down in the regulations of the competition, but  FAF rejected the request, stating the decision of a single match had only been consensual between the parties.
