Talatona – The National Football Squad and members of the technical team, on Wednesday in Luanda Province received from the mobile phone company UNITEL a one-year airtime plan and "iPhone 15" model phones, as part of their participation in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON'2023), which is taking place in Côte d'Ivoire.
Of a total of 38 team members, including 24 players and 14 coaches, only seven were present at the handover ceremony, namely Neblú, Tó Carneiro, Eddie Afonso, Inácio Miguel, Gilberto "Gibelé", Kinito and the vice-president of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), José Carlos, given that the others were absent due to professional commitments.
The Technical Administrator of the donor company, Amílcar Safeca, told ANGOP that the national team's positive performance was the result of a collective effort that brought together coaches, athletes, federation leaders, clubs and national team auxiliary staff.
The official appealed to everyone to continue doing the excellent work they developed up to date with the aim of achieving better results in the next competitions.
In turn, the FAF vice-president, said that encouragements are necessary for players and technical team emphasising that the squad ́s result was possible, despite the efforts of the players and all technicians, due to the positive energy that emerged every day, coming from all those who identified themselves as Angolans.
Meanwhile, the players reiterated the will and commitment to improve their performance for the next challenges.
