Luanda - The team of 1º de Agosto currently in the 14th position with six points seek add three points and shorten the distance to the leaders when they face on Wednesday, at home, Académica do Lobito (5th placed /14 points) in the 11th round of the National First Division Football Championship, Girabola2020-21.
In the match to be played at Luanda’s 11 de Novembro stadium, the defending champions will seek to beat Academica, a task that does not seem easy taking into account the current good form of the opponents.
The two contenders had their 10th round match postponed due to the involvement of 1º de Agosto and Petro de Luanda in the African cups.
In the last encounter between the two teams, 1º de Agosto defeated 3-0 Academica in the 13th round, but the competition ended up being cancelled, in March 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
