Humpata - The National Institute of Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP), in the province of Huíla, trained 82 young people in agricultural mechanization speciality, and were handed over to the Job market last Saturday, August 3rd.
The 15-day training course, financed by the Agrarian Development Fund (FADA), is part of the family farming financing program.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the activity, the provincial vice-governor of Huíla for the political, social and economic sector, Maria João Chipalavela, highlighted the relevance of technical and professional training, so that they can apply the techniques learned, towards development of family farming.
On the occasion, he appealed to those trained to continue stimulating food production based on mechanized work, as well as helping those who do not have the training and knowledge to be able to repair their equipment and manage it.
He highlighted that one of the ways to promote family farming is to optimize equipment so that each family does not have to have a tractor, but it must be shared so that the rate of food production can be increased and income can be brought to improve the quality of life.
In turn, the FADA's executive administrator for the internal area, Saidy Fernando, stated that the trained technicians are equipped with technical and technological instruments that will guarantee the promotion of family farming in their communities.
As he explained, it involves light mechanization knowledge and skills, with the prospect of becoming agents of transformation of various food products, contributing to the program to combat hunger and reduce poverty in the southern region of the country.
