Luanda – Hundred thirty-four projects, estimated at 1.4 billion kwanzas, were financed by the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA), through the national programme for Technical and Material Supply Support (ATM).
The institution's executive director, Manuel Pedro, said that the projects, approved in the last three weeks, serve to boost the fishing and agricultural sectors.
Manuel Pedro told the press at the presentation and dissemination workshop of the new FADA Financial Product that the fund foresees to finance 1,400 projects at the national level, aimed at increasing national agricultural and fisheries production.
“We want to create a set of financial and technical conditions so that small farmers can, during the process of preparing the agricultural campaign, have all the necessary conditions for the start of an agricultural campaign”, he added.
As for the meeting, the manager highlighted that it served to reinforce the dissemination of the ATM that is being implemented by FADA, with resources estimated at 15 billion kwanzas.
The National Support Programme for Technical and Material Supply for plant and animal production aims to ensure the expected results for the current 2021/2022 agricultural season.
In a first phase, the programme will cover the provinces of Luanda, Huíla, Benguela, Huambo, Bié, Cuanza Sul, Uige, Cuando-Cubango, Namibe, Moxico, Lunda Norte, Cabinda and Malanje.
