Icolo e Bengo - At least 100 young people, out of the 200 beneficiaries of the Youth Programme for Support to National Production (PROJAPRON), in the municipality of Icolo e Bengo, province of Luanda, will benefit from training in entrepreneurship, to improve business management.
The training, which will take place in August, for a period of one week, is promoted by the National Youth Council (CNJ) and will be given to 50 young people from the commune of Quiminha and the same number from the commune of Cassoneca, in the first phase.
PROJAPRON made one hectare available to each of the 200 young people from the communes of Cassoneca and Quiminha, for the practice of agriculture, with financial support from the Fund for Support to Agrarian Development (FADA), each receiving Kz 5 million.
According to the municipal secretary of the CNJ in Icolo e Bengo, João Fernando Pessoa, the beneficiaries will be trained in the methodologies to be applied in the production and marketing phase of the products from the field.
He justified the importance of the training due to the complexity of the process from planting to marketing the products.
João Pessoa said that the training will be provided by the Prestígio training centre, recognized in Angola as specialized in teaching about entrepreneurship. Projapron, launched in October 2020, has already financed approximately 600 million Kwanzas, of the one billion available to finance the projects and still has a remainder of one billion and 200 million Kwanzas, which can initially also give support to some entrepreneurs whose processes are already regularized in the respective provincial Youth Councils.
